House Tour!

So the drama is over and we are now home :)  Well the drama for the most part.  The other part includes all the different things that have happened since we moved in here, like the dining room lights not working.  Or the microwave that didn't heat anything up and then just mysteriously turned off.

But here it is, our new home:

The front steps

Crazy plants I have to try to keep alive

The outside of this house is amazing.  There is landscaping everywhere which isn't good for me since I suck at landscaping.  Although I can say that we have spent more time outside here than we ever did at the other house so far.

Now let's take a look inside:

These crazy tiles will come out when we refinish the floors in the Living Room and Dining Rooms

This is the living room.  This is where we have our couch/love seat and TV set up for now, but eventually this will be a sitting room with just a love seat and a leather ottoman, used for extra seating or a reading room for now.  Hubs still needs to finish the floors in the Family Room before we can move our stuff in there.

Through the living room, you enter the Family Room/Kitchen:

This room is gonna be awesome when its done.

My glass bar.

The flooring is currently being patched.  Hubs got most of the flooring installed and then it will be some patch work on the floors and then refinishing and sanding them to make them look awesome.  Progress is slow but it will be amazing when its done.

This will be the main sitting room once it is done.  All the furniture will be in here and I'll be able to watch TV from my new amazing kitchen:

The kitchen is awesome.  I actually love the colored glass on the bar. It is still SUCH a mess though.  Through the kitchen is the dining room. Well its a big circle so the dining room is on the right when you come in the front door and then living room on the left with the steps for upstairs in the middle.  Here is the dining room and the chandelier that almost caused me to get stitches in my chin yesterday:

I love these glass blown lights

There is the chandelier that tried to kill me.

The only place that still has the awful carpet is the steps and this picture does NOT do it justice:

Upstairs we have two bedrooms and a powder room (bathroom and sink, no shower or bathtub), which is kind of weird.

Downstairs through the Family room is the main bathroom and my office:

My favorite part of the house is the outdoors:

I will have to get more pictures of the yard but this is the new digs :)  I love it so far.  I can't wait til we are done with the floors and settled for good!

NKOTBSB

So if you follow me on twitter, you know that my friend won tickets to see the NKOTBSB concert.   Nean and I attended the New Kids concert two years ago when they came to Pittsburgh.  Yes, I admit that I am still a New Kids fan.  Its the nostagia, the remembering how I felt when I went to the first concert and shoot, those boys are still HOT.

So Nean won these tickets and posted on Facebook and I told her that I was jealous and she asked if I wanted to go, so of course!  Plans were made.  These tickets were won off a radio station and I found out the day before the concert that she won the grand prize, a meet and greet NKOTBSB.  I WAS OVER THE MOON.  So we made plans to head out early that day to go to the meet and greet!

We headed down to the arena around 2:30 because we had to be there at 3:00.  This was my first trip to the new arena, its amazing:

In we went, to the will call area to pick up our backstages passes.  There were a few other people there waiting.  And waited we did, for about an hour and a half.  No one knew where we were supposed to go and after a bit the tour people showed up.

We got in line to get our access badges and off we went to the Soundcheck with the BSB.  Now this was kind of not what we were expecting, as we are NKOTB fans and we were hoping to see the New Kids, but you take what ya get.  Into the arena we went:

We were sat down and were a few rows back from the stage extension and there were a few microphones in front of us.  We were then informed that the BSB would be performing a few different songs for us and we would then get to ask them a few questions and we could take as many pictures as we wanted, so I did.  Here are the guys on the main stage before they came over to sing for us:

Then the guys from BSB came over to the stools and sang three songs for us.  It was awesome, although I'm not a BSB fan.  We snapped tons of pics, some of which actually turned out pretty damn good if I do say so myself and OMG let me tell you how funny all these guys are too:

After they performed and answered some questions for us, we were broken into groups and we were able to shake hands, we were NOT allowed to hug the BSB's.  So off to shake hands with each of the guys and then pose for a quick picture.   I don't have the pictures from the BSB's yet as its supposed to be posted on their website but they aren't there yet.  **Edited to add:  the picture was posted this evening:

Then our group that had the wristbands were taken to a hallway and told that we were to stand there and wait to get our pictures taken with the New Kids.  We were not allowed to take any pictures of the New Kids with our own cameras but they did take a group shot once they showed up.  Nean and I were in the first group and I had on my t-shirt from fourth grade when I originally went to the concert.  Danny was the first New Kid that I saw and he grabbed my shirt and said "I know those guys".  I died alittle bit right there.  He then hugged me.  Next, was Jordan.  I got a "Hey Pretty Lady, nice shirt" and a really warm hug.  Then we were told to pose for pictures:

Jordan put his head on my shoulder.  I promptly died twice.  Then smile for a second picture:

That time he put a hand on my shoulder and again I died four times.  He was so so very sweet.  Then onto Donnie, another warm hug and a kiss on the cheek.  It was all I could do to not squeal like a little girl.  The security was trying to usher our first group out at this point but I didn't get to put my arms around my husband Joey.  He was always my absolute favorite and he was having a conversation with Jon at the time.  I went over and interrupted and shook Jon's hand, I'm such a cornball.  I then turned to Joey and gave him a huge hug and told him he was my favorite like the 4th grader I felt like.  It was an amazing experience.

Then we had some time to kill after the meet and greet and before the concert so out to dinner we went where we grubbed:

Then it was back to the arena for the show:

It was an an amazing time and I'll remember it for the rest of my life.  And I'm so still in shock lol :)
